Stuart Higgins, DDS, is one of the owners of The Dental Care Center and regularly works across all of our practice locations. He earned his DDS from UNC Chapel Hill and holds certifications in dental implant placement and third molar removal. Early in his career, Dr. Higgins recognized a need for surgical services that are not typically offered in general dental offices. This inspired him to specialize in dental surgery so he could provide patients with convenient, high-quality care without the need to visit multiple specialists.
Dr. Higgins finds the most reward in helping patients whose dental issues have significantly impacted their lives. He loves restoring not only the function and appearance of a smile, but also his patients’ confidence and overall well-being. His dedication to patient care means he always strives to do his absolute best for every person who walks through the door.

Outside of the office, Dr. Higgins enjoys spending warm months at the beach and winter months skiing. He has been married to his beloved wife for more than 30 years, and together, they have three grown sons and two daughters-in-law. Originally from the mountains of Virginia, Dr. Higgins appreciates the natural beauty of the mountains while also enjoying the nearby ocean. He loves being able to combine his passions for both landscapes with a life filled with family, travel and adventure.
