First-Time Denture Package

Same Day Dentures For A Supported Healing Process

After an extraction, full or partial dentures may be necessary to support proper healing and restore everyday function. At The Dental Care Center, we offer same day dentures so you don’t have to go without a smile while your mouth heals. This allows you to continue chewing, speaking and smiling with confidence during the transition. Our first-time denture package is designed specifically for patients receiving an immediate denture, providing comfort, support and peace of mind from day one. Read on to learn more.

What Is The First-Time Denture Package?

Our First-Time Denture Package is designed for patients who have had one or multiple teeth extracted and need an immediate denture. After an extraction, the gums and underlying bone naturally change as they heal. Protecting these areas during the healing process is essential for comfort, proper healing and everyday function.

As the extraction site heals, the shape of the mouth will continue to change, which means the denture may no longer fit as precisely as it did on day one. That’s why our First-Time Denture Package includes one lab reline within twelve months of receiving the denture at no additional charge. This adjustment helps ensure the denture continues to fit comfortably and function properly as the mouth heals.

How Our First-Time Denture Package Works

Receiving same day dentures with our First-Time Denture Package is a straightforward process, though it does require your availability for most of the day. Our team works efficiently to ensure your comfort while delivering high-quality, immediate results. The process for our First-Time Denture Package typically includes the following steps:

1.

Impressions

First thing in the morning, our friendly team will take impressions of your teeth. These impressions allow our lab to begin crafting your custom denture. You’ll also meet with your dentist for a consultation to discuss your smile goals, including what you like or dislike about your smile and what you hope to achieve with your new denture and our First-Time Denture Package.

2.

Wax Fitting

By the afternoon, a wax version of your denture will be ready for you to try on. This step in our First-Time Denture Package allows you and your dentist to review the fit, comfort and appearance together and make any needed adjustments. Making these refinements at this stage help ensure the best possible fit and comfort as you heal from your extraction.

3.

Your New Smile

Later that day, your new smile will arrive! As part of our First-Time Denture Package, you will do a final fitting with your dentist. They may need to make minor adjustments to ensure your denture is as comfortable as possible and will discuss any questions you may have. During this time, they will also give you instructions on how to care for your denture.

Over the next several days, while adjusting to your new denture, you may discover some sore spots and uncomfortable areas. This is normal! Simply contact our office to come back for an adjustment. We want you to be as comfortable as possible and are happy to help.

Home Care

Caring for your denture is simple, and following these steps will help ensure a comfortable, long-lasting smile:

  1. Give your gums a break — Avoid sleeping in your dentures so your gums can rest.
  2. Brush daily — Clean your dentures at least twice a day to remove trapped food and bacteria.
  3. Skip the toothpaste — Toothpaste is too abrasive for dentures and can cause scratches that harbor bacteria and stains.
  4. Soak overnight — Keep your dentures in water while you sleep to prevent them from drying out and to make them easier to wear in the morning.
  5. Store safely — Never wrap dentures in a paper towel. Always use a protective case to prevent damage or loss.
  6. Avoid household cleaners — Never use household cleaning products to clean your denture. They’re unsafe for your dentures and your health.
  7. Extra cleaning — Use denture-specific cleaning tablets when needed to remove buildup and keep your dentures fresh.
